canとbe able toの違い その２

canとbe able toについて5/16日の聞き忘れを友達に聞いてみました。ただ今回はネイティブじゃなくてアメリカ在住の韓国の人です。前回のネイティブの人もそうでしたが、感覚的に使っているようで説明に苦慮してました（笑）

i can swim	（方法を知っていて）泳げる
i am able to swim	特に理由（I am able to swim for 5 hours without stopping. や I am able to swim 5 kilometers in 30 minutes. のように）を付けないと、ちょっと変に感じる。
i can not swim	（泳ぎ方が分からなくて）泳げない。（タバコの買い方が分からず）買えない場合など、he can not buy cigarett.
i am not able to swim	（できなくさせる事情があり）泳げない。（お店が閉まっているので）食べ物が買えない場合など i am not able to buy food. (becouse the shop is closed)
i could swim	２つの意味にとれて、１つは過去に泳げたという事実をいう場合（i was able to swim in the past）と、仮定法としての泳げるだろう（I may be able to swim now, not I cann't.）の意味、前者が一般的で後者は稀とのこと。
i was able to swim	過去の時点で泳ぐことができた。現在泳げるかは分からない。ちなみに現在も泳げる場合は、I have been able to swim.
i could not swim	聞き忘れ
i was not able to swim	（泳ぐ能力がない、資格がなく）泳げなかった。（若くて）タバコが買えなかった場合など he was not able to buy cigarett. (because he is too young)
i wish i was able to swim／i wish i could swim	これはそれぞれ使い方は同じ

あー！？また聞き忘れてる・・・。
